Cobblers Cove

Cobblers Cove

Barbados

Why we love Cobblers Cove

A charming boutique hotel since the 1960’s and owned by the same family ever since, the delightfully intimate Cobblers Cove is quite simply a gorgeous place to stay. Beautifully positioned on the west coast of Barbados this powder pink walled 1940’s mansion has been declared by Forbes as the best overall hotel for Barbados in 2024 and we could not agree more. Combining a quintessentially English style with a laidback Caribbean vibe this is understated luxury at its finest, with a glorious setting and a lush tropical island welcome.

With luxurious guest suites, a restaurant often lauded as the best on the island and an array of leisure pursuits to both relax and thrill, this is Caribbean living at its best.

Swim with turtles, enjoy a leisurely picnic, horse ride along the beach, laze by the pool or simply enjoy the sun-drenched atmosphere whilst kicking back with a rum punch.

What makes Cobblers Cove even more special are its team of people, offering impeccable service and a warm friendly charm so it’s no wonder guests return to the hotel time and time again.

Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island

Baillie Lodges’ award-winning flagship property, Southern Ocean Lodge, caused quite the stir in the luxury hotel world when it first opened on Kangaroo Island in 2008. Combining stunning architectural design with a spectacular setting, a true Australian icon was born. Razed to the ground in the devastating bushfires of 2020, the newly rebuilt Southern Ocean Lodge opened December 2023 and is back and more incredible than ever before.

The most exclusive address from which to experience Kangaroo Island (aka Australia’s Galapagos), Southern Ocean Lodge offers contemporary style perched atop dramatic cliffs. A stay here is like no other – 25 luxurious suites leave guests wanting for nothing while the new ultra-premium Ocean Pavilion accommodates eight guests and is ideal for multi-gen families and friends travelling together.

All stays at Southern Ocean Lodge include an exceptional range of signature guided experiences to explore the wonders of the island as well as gourmet dining featuring tantalising local produce and wines. Nestled in native bushland alongside the lodge, the Southern Spa offers a comprehensive menu of rejuvenating treatments.

Floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in and allow residents to enjoy panoramic views of the island and ocean. There are only nine guest suites, all of which are spacious, beautifully appointed, and filled with natural light. Private decks offer out of this world views of the Pacific and the dramatic twin peaks of Mounts Gower and Lidgbird.

While away the days discovering this tiny yet breath-taking island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982). At only 11km long and 2.8km at its widest point, the island is easily explored by bicycle and Capella Lodge provides them free for guests (e-bike are available for hire). Afterwards, chill out at the beach or in the dreamy spa before enjoying the complimentary open bar (from 6pm daily) and dining on Pacific-inspired cuisine and matching wines.

Henry’s Townhouse is simply what London has been waiting for. Sitting somewhere between a private residence and a boutique hotel, Henry’s is a luxurious lesson in Georgian glamour and bespoke design.

Henry’s is a labour of love. A classic five-storey Townhouse on Upper Berkeley St, Marylebone, it was once the home of Jane Austen’s favourite brother, Henry. With six elegant, truly luxurious bedrooms, there is nowhere more comfortable, yet more characterful in London. The common areas are equally superb, including a bespoke Pantry Kitchen with long sharing table for breakfast & private dining. We also love the carriage-like cocktail ‘snug’, rooftop terrace for evening aperitifs and Jane’s Reading Room – perfect for afternoon tea or simply relaxing after a busy day in London.

Henry’s is perfect for the most discerning of guests who are looking for something more than just a hotel stay in terms of flexibility, privacy or style, but without compromising on service, location or exclusivity.
